ქართული: ბარემული ასაკის სქელშრეებრივ კირქვებში გამომუშავებული მღვიმე, ულამაზესი ნაღვენთი ფორმებით გამოირჩევა, აქ ნახავთ განსაკუთრებული ფორმის სტალაქტიტებს, სტალაგმიტებს, სტალაგნატებს, ჰელიქტიტებს, გაქვავებულ ჩანჩქერებსა და ჩამოკიდებულ ქვის ფარდებს. მღვიმის ფართობია 46,6 ჰა. „პრომეთეს მღვიმე“ სხვა მღვიმეებისგან განსხვავებით განიერი კორიდორებით ხასიათდება. მაქსიმალური სიგანე 25-30 მ-ია, ჭერის სიმაღლე 20-25 მ, ზოგიერთი დარბაზის სიგრძე 80-100 მ-ს აღწევს. აქ 17 სხვადასხვა ზომის დარბაზია. მღვიმეში არსებული ბილიკის სიგრძე 1,420 მეტრია, ხოლო ჯამური სიგრძე 20,000 მეტრს შეადგენს. მღვიმეს აქვს ორი გასასვლელი: ერთი ბოლოვდება მდინარით, რომელზეც ნავით გასეირნებაა შესაძლებელი, მეორე გასასვლელი კი საფეხმავლოა და მღვიმის დარბაზიდან გარეთ გამოვყავართ.
მდებარეობა: წყალტუბოს მუნიციპალიტეტი, სოფ. ყუმისთავი, 175 მეტრი ზღვის დონიდან. |
