Summary
DescriptionCenote Calavera.jpg
English: Cenote Calavera is located in the state of Quintana Roo, in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It is a sinkhole (i.e., cenote). This picture represents the main entrance to the cenote as taken from above. Cenote Calavera (i.e., "skull") is so named for its similar appearance to a skull when viewed from above. There are two smaller entrances (i.e., the eyes) and one larger entrance (i.e., the mouth) to this cenote.
