Summary

Description
English: Torpantau Tunnel This is the flooded eastern (or northern) entrance to the Torpantau Tunnel on the former Brecon & Merthyr Junction Railway. Famed not only for its height above sea level but also, according to some sources, for being the oldest in continuous use on any mainline British railway. The Taff Trail which follows the line avoids the tunnel by going over the top.
