Vanadinite
This aesthetic matrix specimen has very lustrous vanadinite crystals, to 1.7 cm across. The equant, doubly terminated, crystals feature the reddish core color with gemmy yellow to orange highlights that are characteristic of this pocket. The few very small damaged crystals you see at the bottom-left periphery have been removed, carefully with a pick, since the photo was taken and now the piece is properly pristine on the crystals remaining. When properly displayed, the crystals congregate at the apex. Very lovely specimen for the size and price range, with superb display viewing of the most lustrous edge faces.
